EarthSpirit Circle

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

EarthSpirit Circle invites you to our meeting on Monday, October 1st at 7 pm in Sullivan #3.  (The Sullivan Wing can only be accessed now from the door off the courtyard.) Our newest member, Sherrilyn, will be leading the discussion and planning of our SAMHAIN ceremony. Samhain, meaning “summer’s end,”introduces the dark half of the year: the time of “frost and firelight.” After Christianization, this festival–that begins the night of October 31st–was celebrated as Halloween and the first days of November as All Saints Day, All Souls Day, and The Day of the Dead. Thus, at our October 29th festival, we will also honor dear ones who have passed.

Also, in keeping with our new “creative fire” initiative, ESC welcomes an original story, artwork, meditation, etc. to be shared at Monday’s meeting. The theme should be spiritual.

BTW have you seen USG’s new labyrinth and altar in “The Woods” out back?  Whether you have or not, this Sunday (Sept. 30) from noon to 4 pm is the perfect time to check it out and to assist in the mindful modification of this unique natural area. Hoping to see you there, too!
