Post Election Day Black Lives Matter Vigil

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The BLACK LIVES MATTER vigils will occur every Tuesday, 4:00-5:00pm until the return to DST in March.

The vigil did NOT take place November 5 because USG is a polling place. This week we will meet on WEDNESDAY, November 6 — an informal survey found that folks wanted to get together after the election, regardless of the results.

Please join us in front of the Unitarian Society of Germantown on Lincoln Drive. Bring your own signs or borrow or buy ours.

Especially in this moment, when apathy and cynicism try to convince us that our actions are irrelevant and do not matter in the face of “larger forces,” our engagement and our principled voices are more important than ever. I am so looking forward to the camaraderie of being with you again, as well as exchanging smiles and waves and honks with the drivers on Lincoln Drive, communicating a simple and hopeful human message: We are here for each other. We will continue to be here.
