April 22, 2024 Dear USG Members and Friends, We wish you a Happy National Volunteer Week! As we reflect on this past year, we are reminded of the impact that each one of you makes in your volunteering. On Sunday mornings, you serve . . .  as worship associates, camera operators, ushers, welcome table hosts, Zoom hosts, collection counters, singers or musicians and CSD teachers. Throughout the rest of the week, the month, and the year, you also serve . . . you weed, rake leaves, plant flowers, supply recycling bins, apply for grants; give hugely of your time and talents on committees, including the Board, Ministry Executive team and Minister Search; lead groups, host events, teach ASD classes, offer auction events, make meals or give rides to people on the Caring list; give donations of menstrual supplies for USG congregants, visitors and renters, and food for our neighbors and our congregation; and represent all of us in so many ways through public witness and advocacy…and so much more. Thank GOODNESS for you. It is clear to all of us at USG just how important you are to what we do. This community would not be possible without each of you and the energy and dedication it takes to create positive experiences for all. We understand that volunteering requires significant commitment, both with your time and resources — and we are truly grateful for all that you do! We cannot thank you enough for everything you have done and will continue to do to support USG — but we will try to! With love and faith, Your USG Family |
