The 19th century abolitionist and Unitarian minister Theodore Parker and the 20th century civil rights leader and Baptist minister Martin Luther King, Jr. spoke about the arc of the moral universe. What will it take to bend that arc in this 21st century? How can we invite in our imagination and creativity to make it possible?

Emily Joy Goldberg is a singer-songwriter and speech language pathologist in the School District of Philadelphia, who has been a member of the Unitarian Society of Germantown since 2005. Her musical projects focus on community, justice, and progressive faith, including two compilations of original songs from the Philadelphia songwriting community: Songs from the Inside (2020) that reflects, in music, the onset of the 2020 lock-down, and Still Singing Songs from the Inside (2022), from the transition time out of the crisis. She released an album of UU songs, Open Doors (2019), and one of her latest songs will be included in the new UU Virtual Hymnal.
