Below are various groups that offer opportunities to connect with others here at USG and through the denomination. You might also be interested in various volunteering opportunities, either on your own (weeding) or with others (weeding ;>). USG Groups

BLUU Haven Philly meets every other 3rd Saturday at 3. This is a great opportunity to build a community of local Black U/UUs. Visit the BLUU Resources for Black UUs page for more info. Garden GrUUp works to maintain USG’s garden beds. If you enjoy getting outdoors and working in and around plants, this is the group for you! No specialized plant knowledge is required, just a willingness to help out. Please contact Paula Behrens and Eva Finney at gardening@usguu.org

Anti-Racism and Multi-Culturalism

BIPOC Gatherings – If you identify as Black, Indigenous or a person of color (BIPOC), you’re invited to join us for the Central East Region’s BIPOC gathering happening one Monday per month at 6:30pm ET. 2023 – 2024 Dates: Nov 6, Dec 4, Jan 8, Feb 5, Mar 4, Apr 1, May 6, June 3. DRUUMM –  Diverse & Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM) exists to support our ministry in the world, positively transforming the lives of BIPOC UUs and helping build beloved communities.
