*Peace Sunday: Philadelphia to Ukraine, Rev. Kent Matthies

Starting at 10:20am, during the Ingathering Music, you will see a slideshow of portraits made to honor and remember the souls lost to gun violence in Philadelphia.

As people of faith and good will, we stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. How does our faith call us to join in forceful opposition to Putin’s heinous war on an independent country? As we explore our duties and capacities to help, we also remember the violence at home. Last year over 500 people were killed in Philadelphia. We Share the Plate this month with Souls Shot Portrait Project, an organization that honors victims of violence by painting portraits. Let us join together for Peace in the world, in the village, and within ourselves.
