Beginning Again in Love, Rev Kent Matthies

Click here for the Order of Service.

This Sunday we will hear Ryan Hurd’s last children’s story as Director of Spiritual Development and the Barbone Street Jazz Band coming to you in person in the sanctuary. We will also hear Kent Matthies’ final sermon as Senior Minister at USG coming to you via technology as he quarantines at home with a case of Covid. On this occasion let’s explore the spiritual wisdom contained in so many traditions: endings bring beginnings. TS Elliot famously wrote: “What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.”  Every breath you take is a chance to begin again in love. Beginning again in love can save our lives and change the world.
