From Rev. Kevin DeBeck, our new Director of Spiritual Development:

Greetings, everyone! The upcoming CSD year is fast approaching and here is some information you all should know.
     I regretfully announce that ms. blew kind, our Sunday morning childcare provider, has informed me that she can’t continue in that capacity. We will begin a search for a new childcare person shortly. In the meantime, this means that no one will be staffing the Wiggle Room during Sunday services. However, the door will be open and all the play items will be there if needed for children and their adults. I will be checking on the play packs on a weekly basis to make sure they stay full and ready.
Hey, kiddos! During Ingathering on Sunday, September 10, we will do a Blessing of the Backpacks. Please bring any item that you want blessed for the upcoming church/school year, including backpacks, briefcases, pens, pencils, laptops, anything that makes your workday/school day easier!
     And don’t forget the Ice Cream Social, which the CSD committee and I will be hosting after the service on September 10 and when you can register your children and teens for this coming church year. (Or click here to do so now!)
     CSD classes will begin the following Sunday, September 17. We will be using the UUA Toolbox of Faith program for children 12 and under and Heeding the Call for teens 13 and over. Sign your children up now (or wait for the ice cream .)
     Keep your eyes peeled to this space for upcoming fellowship events!

   

If your children will attend our children’s program or childcare, please register for CSD if you haven’t already.  It’s important for us to have emergency contact info as well as allergies on file, as well as your interests logged about potential programming. For info, email Brandi Kirksey, csd@usguu.org.
