*Restorative Yoga is a gentle practice that uses props like blankets and yoga blocks to support the body in passive poses held for several minutes to promote muscle and nervous system release, reduce stress, and facilitate rest.
** Yoga Nidra is a guided, multi-stage relaxation/meditation practice that guides practitioners to that sweet spot between wakefulness and sleep. This liminal space is the alpha state – a slow brain-wave pattern characterized by relaxed awareness.
