Race and Whiteness in the Era of Trumpism – a presentation by Tim Wise

Tim Wise is a well-known anti-racist activist and writer, whose focus on race, class, gender, privilege and sexuality has been the foundation of many talks, articles and books including his memoir “White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son.” In this presentation given at All Saints Church, Pasadena, CA in April 2017, he talks about race relations in America, specifically around the context of the 2016 presidential election. Wise explains how white privilege shaped the national and cultural narrative, leading to a rise in white nationalism. This is an empowering presentation for allies in the struggle for racial justice.
