The Transformation Team was formed in 2013 by the Board of Trustees with the charge of coordinating USG’s work toward growing congregational efforts to further realize our goal of being anti-oppressive in spirit and action, and to strengthening and solidifying the Unitarian Society of Germantown’s efforts to increasingly become a Beloved Community (in the words of Dr. Martin Luther King) that is intentionally welcoming, multiracial and multicultural.

The is Eli Scearce, Chair, Bob Williford, Hal Krieger, Tanya Vales and Treva Burger with Linda Brunn as Board Rep and Jenn Leiby as MET rep.

They are currently working on educating the congregation on the history of Max Daskam’s ministry and whether to change the name of the Daskam Room.

They are also using the attached Anti-Racist Continuum to guide their work. The Transformation and Ending Racism Committees find us to be in the 3-4 range, the goal is 5-6.
