Meditation Retreat

The USG Adult Spiritual Development Committee is constantly exploring new and expanded directions for spiritual practice for our community. In response to a growing interest in meditation practice, we are reaching out to a Mt. Airy neighbor, the Springboard Meditation Studio on Carpenter Lane, to partner in practices and activities that support our mutual goals of building beloved community grounded in compassion. This will be in addition to enhancing the opportunities for meditation practice here at USG.

Our first co-sponsored venture will be a four-day, silent meditation retreat which will be led by Oren Sofer, a nationally renowned teacher and practitioner of Buddhist meditation. The retreat will explore meditation as a balanced way of life and a path for awakening and will be held at the Mt. Eden Retreat Center in Washington, N.J., Thursday, October 13 through Sunday, October 16.
