Germantown in 1865, If These Walls Could Talk, Part 1, by Irv Miller

The Unitarian Society of Germantown was founded in 1865. The congregation built a church designed by architect Frank Furness on the southwest corner of Greene Street and Chelten Ave. Irv Miller describes the development of the community from about 1850 to 1871.
