Amy Birge-Caracappa (she/her), current president of the Board of Trustees, has been a member of USG since 2000. Over the years at USG, Amy has been a worship associate, a youth advisor, a search committee member, and a charter member of the Ending Racism Committee, among other things. Amy is Director of Assessment at Community College of Philadelphia, where she has held many positions in the past two decades, including Professor of English and Coordinator of Curriculum Development. Amy is part of several anti-racist and anti-oppression efforts at CCP and acts as an advisor for CCP’s Queer Student Union. Amy and her wife, Maggie Birge-Caracappa, live in Mt. Airy with their four cats: Puck, Plato, Sammy, and Nimoy.
