Richard Williams, a retired architect and former independent elected Luzerne County Councilman,  was selected as the new Director of UU PA Legislative Advocacy Network (UUPLAN) beginning in January, 2018. Richard was an active founding member of the UU Congregation of the Wyoming Valley which has thrived since 1991. Richard brings his lifelong UU experience and a passion for thoughtful and effective advocacy to his new role. In a recent visit to Philadelphia (to attend the “Daring Democracy”  assembly at First Unitarian Philadelphia, he visited with Rev. Matthies, Lois Murphy (Co-Chair, USG Social Justice Council), and Dennis Brunn (UUPLAN Board Member) to share and exchange ideas for UUPLAN’s growth.
