Film Screening and Discussion: King in the Wilderness

This HBO documentary chronicles the final three years of Rev. Martin Luther King’s life.  Based on interviews of friends and colleagues in the Movement,  it features the pressures on King as he addressed  problems in the North and as he endured the criticisms and doubts from many sides about his core philosophy of non-violent direct action and about his decision to come out forcefully against the Vietnam War.
Free admission.   A discussion will follow moderated by one of the activists featured in the documentary:  Rev. Richard Fernandez.
