7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Through learning, as well as movement and practice, this class will improve mental and physical flexibility, strengthen the body, improve balance, reduce stress, and improve the overall quality of life. Qigong involves slow movements, deep breathing, slow but intentional stretching, and practical meditation experiences. In our weekly sessions, this foundational practice will help us become aware of the thoughts and feelings working below the conscious mind that influence our feelings and behaviors. This is a good preparatory class for doing any deep type of anti-oppression work and is suitable for personas of all ages and physical abilities. Qigong will be in Sullivan 3 or outside.
