American Civil Rights leader, justice warrior, and a US Congressman for 33 years John Lewis passed away this summer.  Mr. Lewis’ body lay in state in the US Capital and three US Presidents spoke at his memorial service in Atlanta.  Mr. Lewis was a Freedom Rider, the youngest speaker at the March on Washington in 1963, and led the march over the Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama.

For over six decades Mr. Lewis courageously gave his life to help all people achieve liberty and justice.  He did all of this with humility, joy and love.  How can we allow his life to enlighten and direct our own living?
