Global markets are shaky.  Domestic politics and international war are destabilizing.  Where do we turn when things are so very difficult?  This church is here now and will be ever stronger in the coming months and years.  This people’s church helps folks not only to survive, but to thrive spiritually.

On this Stewardship Sunday, we celebrate a sense of abundance that inspires us to use money for the greater good.  We move boldly into the future with the knowledge that we are connected with each other.  Our individual well-being is related to the well-being of our fellow human beings.

A life-long Unitarian Universalist, Kent came to USG in 2002, bringing a vision for the church to “empower people as disciples of love.” Among his other responsibilities as lead minister he preaches 2 or 3 times per month. He also represents Unitarian Universalism in the community. Kent lives in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia with his wife Kristin and their two sons. For more, see his bio on the Staff Page.
